Elim Soul Formation

Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees; and they camped there by the water. (Exodus 15:27)

Elim is an oasis of twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees in the Wilderness of Shur, seven miles from Marah. Shur is a Hebrew word that means “a wall, hemmed in, or limited,” while Marah means “bitter, grief, calamity.” In the hemmed in space of the Wilderness of Shur, where the people were thirsty but could not drink the bitter water of Marah, the Lord provided a space of rest and refreshment.

May Elim Soul Formation be a space of rest and refreshment for your souls as you journey through your own wilderness in life and in ministry! And may you see the Lord’s hands forming and shaping you for Himself in those hemmed in places!

"My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? " -Psalm 42:2
